THREE-YEAR SUPPORT AGREEMENT WITH GLOBAL TURBINE ASIA (GTA) FOR TP400-D6 TURBINE ENGINES ON A400M AIRCRAFT

 

 

Europrop International (EPI), is pleased to announce the signing of the PHASE II contract with Global Turbine Asia (GTA). GTA is EPI’s Authorised Maintenance Organization to access and service the TP400-D6 engine of the Royal Malaysian Airforce (RMAF) fleet.

This three-year agreement continues to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions and enables GTA to continue providing aftermarket-services-access to the RMAF TP400-D6 turbine engines, installed on A400M aircraft. At the same time it marks another milestone in the relation between EPI and GTA and underlines EPIs ambition to continuously improve the support to existing and new customers in the Asian market.

The contract, solidifies Europrop International’s position as a trusted partner in the aviation industry, offering unparalleled maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Global Turbine Asia (GTA) will leverage its expertise to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of the TP400-D6 engines, enhancing the operational readiness of A400M fleets worldwide.

The TP400-D6 engine, developed by Europrop International, is known for its advanced technology, fuel efficiency, and robust design and favourable cost of ownership, making it the propulsion system of choice for the A400M military transport aircraft.

Work Student – Quality Suppply Chain

Location: Munich

EPI Europrop International GmbH is responsible for the design, development, manufacturing, delivery and logistic support of the TP400-D6 engines for the A400M aircraft. The company, headquartered in Munich, was founded in 2002 by the four shareholders Industria de Turbo Propulsores S. A. U (ITP AERO), MTUAero Engines AG, Rolls-Royce plc. and SAFRAN Aircraft Engines SAS (formerly SNECMA S.A.S.). The Liason Office of EPI GmbH is located in Madrid, Spain.

 

Accountabilities:

  • You accompany and support the EPI Quality Assurance Representatives within Supply Chain Quality in deviation management.
  • You develop and improve VBA-based Excel/Word macros to facilitate and (partially) automate activities in deviation management.
  • You support the team in the creation of quality management indicators, including prior data analysis and cleansing.
  • You are responsible for the new and further development of Excel-based evaluations for the creation of visual management KPIs for the measurement of supplier performance, as well as EPI delivery performance to the customer Airbus.
  • You will be responsible for the redesign of a process for collecting visual construction deviations, processing the construction deviations in a database and generating a report at the time of product delivery to the customer.

 

Profile:

  • You are a registered student majoring in aeronautics or mechanical engineering or a comparable course of study.
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office and are particularly familiar with Excel, ideally you already have experience in macro programming.

Tax Expert

Location: Munich

Scope:

  • As the tax expert you are responsible for the correct transmission of all tax data associated with EPI’s business. You will work in an international team and you will be the contact person for any tax issues for all EPI stakeholders including the EPI tax advisor.

 

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of tax-relevant data and ensuring the timely submission of the advance VAT return (for 5 countries), as well as the declaration for intracommunity supplies & services (summarising report) and Intrastat report.
  • Preparation and support of annual returns for value added tax, corporation tax and trade tax.
  • Contact person for EPI internal tax issues, for shareholders tax requests in connection with EPI business and for tax auditors.
  • Close cooperation with EPI tax advisor.
  • Participation on special topics such as transfer pricing, tax processing of new customers and changed business processes.
  • Tax support for ERP projects and assistance in improving financial processes.
  • Support of Controlling and Accounting team in terms of revenue share with Shareholders, monthly and annual financial statements and support other departments to ensure correct tax treatment and general accounting topics.

 

Profile:

Professional Skills:

  • Completed apprenticeship as an assistant tax consultant or comparable training/studies.
  • 5 – 7 years on the job experience as assistant tax consultant or as an accountant with profound tax experience.
  • Good knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) accounting principles.

Chief of Finance

Location: Munich

Scope:

  • To lead the EPI finance department.
  • To act as the focal point for EPI in all accounting, controlling and tax matters with EPI S.L., shareholders, customers and other third parties such as but not limited to external auditors, tax advisors.

 

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for managing and controlling the EPI budget, preparing financial reports and presentations for the EPI management and the EPI shareholders including presentation to the Board of Directors.
  • Responsibility for proper accounting and the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
  • Responsibility for tax compliance, in particular VAT, income tax and transfer pricing.
  • Close cooperation with the EPI management and departments as well as external stakeholders such as tax advisors, auditors and shareholders.
  • Continuous development of the financial department in the direction of process improvements including EPI ERP system.
  • Ensure compliance to the EPI Quality Management System.
  • Manage risk related to financial department and related to tax issues
  • Review of EPI draft contracts in terms of financial aspects prior to release to the customer or supplier.

 

Profile:

Professional Skills:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration with major in Finance.
  • 5 – 7 years on the job experience in Finance and ideally in Programme Management.
  • Sound knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) accounting principles.

ML1 Coordinator COS

Location: Madrid

 

Scope:

  • Europrop International GmbH is responsible for the TP400-D6 turboprop engines design, development, manufacturing and support, produced to power the Airbus A400M Military Aircraft.
  • EuroProp is executing a pro-active upgrade campaign of the Right Handed (RH) Propeller Gear Boxes (PGB) for all customer Nations.
  • The preferred candidate will provide support to the Customer Operation Stream (COS) working in particular on the PGB retrofit campaign project, the in-service events follow-up (EFU) and contributing to the execution of the annual Service Budget.

 

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Planning for the implementation on fleets of engine retrofit and upgrade campaigs (e.g PGB, CC and HPC campaigns). Interface directly with end customer and operators when required.
  • Interface with the EPI MRO teams and demand flow down of ML1 customer needs and priorities.
  • Support the management in EPI of the EFUs (Events Follow Up) within the COS and across EPI organization. Control the application and efficiency of the EFU process.
  • Support and provide the necessary inputs to produce the annual COS / MRO budgets and their updates
  • Secure that the process’ steps to invoice are fluent and facilitate the resolution of any blocking point, making the necessary process improvement based on experience gained.
  • Contribute to the efficient flow of the related operating rithms within the Streams.
  • Manage the production of reports, KPIs and visual management as required in the organisation of the Customer Operations Stream.

 

Profile:

  • Bachelor degree or similar in engineering
  • Fluent in English – other languages valued
  • Experience of at least 2 years working on similar industrial enviroments.
  • Adept in Excel (including graphic and visual management), Power Point and general knowledge on Microsoft tools (MS Project, Outlook, Word, …).

TP400 System Design Integration Engineer

Location: Madrid

Scope:

Technical Role located within the Technical Directorate supporting the office of the Chief Design and Functional Engineer. This specialist position would provide support across the PCs and EPI Change Control on behalf of the design office as well as interface with the customer on dedicated technical topics.

 

Accountabilities:

  • To fulfil the role of Technical Lead for EPI driven modifications complying with the Design Review and Management process
  • Ensure that PC issues/concerns are highlighted and that they have an appropriate action plan in place to achieve resolution
  • To manage TP400 Internal Interfaces – Liaison with Partner Companies and Design Suppliers
  • To manage the lifing related integration between Design, Service Engineering, and the PCs
  • Provide independent compliance validation of engine certification documents and changes

 

Responsibility

  • To work with a safety culture mind-set, leading and supporting safety event investigations and actively raising concerns
  • To perform required data analysis and reporting in support of the critical part life extensions and Lifing Review process.
  • Provide technical design support to in-fleet investigations to assist the Service Engineering department
  • To provide System Integration support bringing robust design techniques and critical thinking to integration problems, including requirements capture and system level interactions
  • To support the other Technical Chiefs of Functions to deliver their accountabilities by the provision and iteration where required of interfacing requirements, data and outputs.

Senior Project Manager

Location: Madrid

Scope:

  1. Solution coordinator

The Solution coordinator is a Programme Management role.

In this role, the incumbent will be assigned with engine related issues to be solved, and will ensure to define and manage an integrated planning on the issue, and lead the resolution up to solution implementation.

The incumbent will be assigned as well with engine related risks to anticipate and to be dealt with in a similar way.

For each issue and risk, the Solution Coordinator will need to :

  • Obtain Root Cause Analysis from Engineering
  • Identify through Functions (Engineering, Support, Supply, Commercial, Quality) potential preventive solutions in P21 and As an example, these solutions could be as diverse as :
    • Product change,
    • Maintenance activities,
    • Commercial policy,
    • Additional / Enhanced quality controls,

These solutions need to be consistent across all Functions.

  • Identify with same Functions corrective solutions for P21 and P145 as need As an example, these solutions could be as diverse as :
    • Repair solutions,
    • Product change / de-mod
    • P21 and/or P145 capacity increase
    • P145 capability development
    • Maintenance activities
  • Challenge preventive and corrective solutions to propose integrated plan options for Stream or EXCOM decision before launching the plan.
  • Coordinate all activities within EPI and PCs to ensure completion of integrated plan in Programme agreed timeframe.
  • Lead resolution of the issue / mitigation of the risk up to solution availability and first implementation.

2. Change coordinator

The solution coordinator will as well be in charge of a set of changes, either existing ongoing product changes, or any product change requested for the resolution of an issue / a risk. Under that scope, the incumbent will :

  • Ensure delivery (embodiment) of the change in agreed timeframe.
  • Use Project Management tools and Programme management competences to drive the change through its different gates.
  • Maintain integrated planning and action plan, identify focals, hold regular meetings and issue status reports, propose and evaluate possible ways forward, actively drive the resolution of roadblocks.
  • Ensure the Change is well prepared before presentation to the Change Control Committee.
  • Interface with Parent Companies and Customer throughout the Change process.
  • Establish and maintain the appropriate set of Provide regular visibility on progress, roadblocks, risks & opportunities and make use of escalation process when necessary (CCC, Leadership Meetings).

 

Prime responsibilities:

  • Propose integrated solutions to engine related issues and risks.
  • Lead the resolution of allocated issues to solution implementations in the agreed Programme timeframe.
  • Manage portfolio of product changes within agreed timeframe.
