Josep Dorca
Technical Director since September 1st, 2025Josep Maria Dorca holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester and a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he specialised in turbomachinery aerodynamics.
He joined Rolls-Royce in 2003, and spent a decade in Defence projects across the UK and the USA.
Since 2011, based in Germany, he held various technical leadership roles in the development of the Pearl family of engines – as Assistant Chief Engineer of the Pearl15 through to CS-E Certification and flight release, then as Head of Programme for the Pearl700.
He has as well led different Engineering Functions throughout his career, as Global Chief of Fans & Compressor Aerodynamics, Head of Development and Experimental Engineering and latterly as Head of Systems Engineering and Product Performance for the Rolls-Royce Group worldwide.
Josep Maria has been appointed to his current position as Technical Director for EPI as of September 2025.
